Three burglars arrested: Pistol and other articles recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: In a major catch this month, the CCB Police have arrested three notorious criminals and have recovered a pistol and other articles used in crimes, from them.

The arrested have been identified as Imran Khan alias Saddam Hussain, aged 33 years, Syed Ayub and Ummar Pasha alias Jalla, all of Ittangur village in Anekal taluk of Bengaluru rural district.

Acting on a tip off, the CCB Police arrested the three near KIADB Office on KRS Road on Wednesday midnight. Syed Ayub and Ummar Pasha had gone absconding after carrying out a house burglary at Shyadanahalli in Metagalli Police Station limits and they were caught when the other accused Imran Khan was trying to sell ganja to them.

On interrogation, Syed Ayub and Ummar Pasha confessed to have carried out house burglary in J.P. Nagar, Lalithadripura, Teachers Layout, Roopanagar, Srirangapatna, Bastipura and K.R. Nagar and lifted two-wheelers  along with one Mohammed Munna.

They also spilled the beans on how they sold stolen gold jewellery and bought Honda City and Santro Cars and hid the stolen two-wheelers.

They  also revealed that they bought pistol from Imran Khan alias Saddam Hussain in order to scare away those who chase them while carrying out burglary and thefts.

Later, the Police interrogated Imran Khan during which he told the Police that he had come to sell ganja to Syed Ayub and Ummar Pasha and he purchased a Hyundai car and a pistol out of the money earned from selling ganja.

Based on the revelations made by the accused, the CCB Police recovered the stolen household articles, Imran Khan’s car and a silver colour country-made pistol kept in the car’s dashboard, a digital weighing machine and 4.066 kg of ganja from the accused.

The nabbing and recovery operation was carried out by CCB Inspector M. Mohankumar                             and staff.
