Mysuru: The Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens, in association with Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Azim Premji Philanthropic Initiatives (APPI), District Disability Rehabilitation Centre (DDRC), Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Bhagawan Mahaveer Angavikalara Sahakara Samithi, Jaipur and various Community Groups, have organised a three-day free artificial limb camp from May 25 to 27 at District Disability Rehabilitation Centre in Tilak Nagar here.
Interested people with disabilities from all the eight taluks of the district may make use of this opportunity, according to the release.

This community-based rehabilitation project for the welfare of people with disabilities in Mysuru and Kodagu districts has been implemented for a period of three years from 2018-19.
This project aims at identifying the people with disabilities at rural-level through surveys, sensitising people for prevention of disability, initiating skill and professional-based training, ensuring government facilities like getting medical certificates, identity certificates, free bus and railway passes, besides empowering by holding social, economic empowerment workshops.
