Three-Day Mysore Travel Mart begins

Union Tourism Minister to formally inaugurate this afternoon

Mysuru, June 5 – The three-day Mysore Travel Mart-2026 (MTM-2026) began at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar here this morning.

The Mart, which is the fifth edition, is organised by Mysore Travels Association (MTA) in collaboration with various organisations including Union Ministry of Tourism, Karnataka Tourism Department, Mysore Hotel Owners Association and SKAL International, Mysuru, among others.

Union Minster for Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is scheduled to formally inaugurate the event this afternoon.

There are 110 stalls at the venue, with more than 140 exhibitors from Mysuru, Kodagu, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir,  Keralam and other destinations taking part to showcase their Travel, Tourism and Software services.

The event mainly features pre-scheduled B2B meetings, Tourism Expo, Cultural evenings, Destination showcase and family and kids activities.

On Day 2 (June 6), University of Mysore Registrar M.K. Savitha will inaugurate the panel discussions at 11 am, the first one being on the topic ‘Tourism and Journalism: The power of storytelling’, in which Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Managing Editor Vikram Muthanna, senior journalist Vishweshwar Bhat and GSS Group Chairman Srihari Dwarakanath will take part.

The valedictory of will take place at 5 pm on June 7, in which MLAs G.T. Devegowda, Tanveer Sait and Anil Chikkamadu, Karnataka Tourism Society President Shyam Raju, Karnataka State Hotels Association President G.K. Shetty , Karnataka Tourism Commissioner Akram Pasha and others will be the chief guests.

MTM-2026 Chairman C.A. Jayakumar, MTA President B.S. Prashanth, Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President and MTM Vice-Chairman C. Narayanagowda, MTA Secretary Manjunath, Hotel Owners Charitable Trust President Ravi Shastri, MTM Secretary Samarth G. Vaidya and others will be present during the formal inauguration by the Union Tourism Minister.

The Travel Mart will be open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm on all the three days (June 5 to 7) and entry is free.
