Three from city selected for ‘Chidananda Award’

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. M.S. Krishnamurthy, retired Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology, University of Mysore, Dr. T.N. Nagarathna, retired Head – Haridasa Sahitya division, Kuvempu Institute of Kannada Studies  and Dr. B.S. Pranatharthiharan, Founder of Mysore Community Study Centre, have been selected for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 annual “Chidananda Award” respectively.

The award is being given since the last 20 years in the name of noted research scholar Dr. M. Chidanandamurthy by Chidananda Prashasthi Pradhana Samithi.

The award, including a cash prize of Rs.10,000 and a citation, will be presented on May 15 at 10.30 am, at a function to be held Dr. Shivarathri Rajendra Bhavan Auditorium, JSS Medical College premises in city. Senior scholar and retired professor of Mysore University Dr. T.V. Venkatachalashastry will confer the awards.
