Three more get bail in KSOU marks card racket

Mysuru: Three more persons, who had been arrested in the KSOU marks card racket, have been granted bail by the Court and they are KSOU Assistant Registrar Siddaraju, Venu and Parveen.

Earlier, Mysuru District Principle and Sessions Court had rejected the bail appeal. But the Third Additional District Court Judge K.M. Shankar has passed an order granting bail to four of the accused.

Complaints had been filed against a total of 11 persons. Ten persons had been arrested individually. They had been arrested by the CCB and Jayalakshmipuram Police. The second accused Basavaraju is absconding. In the first incidence, including Yashaswini four have been granted bail.

The Police had said that there were only 154 fake marks cards. But later, according to the investigations by the CCB and Jayalakshmipuram Police, it has been revealed that 1,332 fake marks cards have been printed.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Shivalingaiah, who had gone on leave, has returned and he, along with Registrar Chandrashekar, have gone to Bengaluru on the call of the Governor. A few senior officials have also accompanied them to discuss about the issues related to marks cards.
