Mysore/Mysuru: Despite City Police taking all possible steps to prevent crimes in city, chain-snatchers have posed a challenge to the Police by snatching three gold chains at three different places in city on Aug. 6.
In the first case, 52-year-old Nagamani Ramesh, a resident of 2nd Main, 7th Cross in Vidyaranyapuram, lost her gold chain to bike-borne chain-snatchers.
At about 9 pm on Aug. 6, Nagamani and her daughter were walking on the 2nd Main Road, when two bike-borne chain-snatchers yanked off her 40 grams gold mangalya chain and sped away.
A case has been registered at Vidyaranyapuram Police Station.
In the second case, 57-year-old M.J. Hyachint, a resident of Yadavagiri Railway Quarters, was proceeding with his sister Leena on his scooter (KA-09-EM-1185) near Sankranti Circle in Hebbal at about 3.30 pm, when two chain-snatchers, who came on a bike from behind snatched a 35 grams gold chain and sped away.
A case has been registered at Hebbal Police Station.
In the third case, bike-borne miscreants have snatched a 40 grams gold of 50-year-old Shantha, a resident of Kuvempunagar 2nd Stage. She was returning home from a shop at about 9.10 pm, when the chain-snatchers, who came on a bike snatched her chain and sped away.
A case has been registered at Kuvempunagar Police Station.
