Three held for murdering security guard

Mysuru: V.V. Puram Police on Apr. 8 have arrested three persons on charges of murdering a security guard in Yadavagiri and have recovered a mobile phone and four iron windows stolen by them. The accused were picked up on KRS Road here when they moving around in a suspicious manner.

The arrested have been identified as 26-year-old Raja of Harohalli in Pandavapura taluk, Mandya, 35-year-old Dinesh of Devaraja Mohalla and 20-year-old Salman Khan of A.J. Block at Ghousianagar in city.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed to the crime, following which the Police formally arrested them.

The accused on Mar. 26 had murdered a security guard identified as Raja Shetty (50) of an under-construction building at Railway Layout in Yadavagiri by hitting him on the head with a wooden log when he tried to prevent the robbery and had stolen his (security guard) mobile phone and four iron windows.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered the mobile phone and four iron windows.

DCP N. Vishnuvardhana supervised N.R. Sub-Division ACP C. Gopal, V.V. Puram Inspector Ramakrishnaiah and staff Prasanna, Somashekar, Eeranna, Madhusudhan and Mahesh in the nabbing operation.
