Three patrol vehicles donated to Nagarahole for conservation

Mysore/Mysuru: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Infosys Co-founder and Chairman of the Board Nandan Nilekani and his wife Rohini Nilekani handed over three Tata Yodha patrol vehicles to Nagarahole Tiger Reserve Director Mahesh Kumar.

The patrol vehicles were handed over on behalf of Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw Mazumdar Shaw Philanthropy and Geetanjali Kirloskar and Vikram Kirloskar. The three patrol jeeps are worth over Rs. 27.75 lakh with each vehicle costing Rs.9.25 lakh.

 The donation news has been tweeted by Mahesh Kumar who has thanked the donors for their generous donations as part of the conservation efforts under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This will definitely strengthen our protection duties including patrolling, he added.  Whether it is through cash contributions or donations in kind, time or expertise, Nagarahole Tiger Conservation Foundation offers a variety of opportunities for donors to extend support. Donations can be made directly to the general corpus fund of the Foundation that supports a host of activities and all donations are exempt from Income Tax.
