Mysuru: As part of the 60th Tibetan National Uprising Day, Tibetans took out a massive rally yesterday protesting against the unprecedented suffering, violation of basic human rights and economic discrimination and marginalisation, by the Chinese Government.
The procession that began from the North Gate of Mysore Palace, opposite Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, passed through Dodda Gadiyara (Big Clock Tower), Chikka Gadiyara (Dufferin Clock Tower), Devaraj Urs Road and reached the Deputy Commissioner’s Office where the Tibetans held a peaceful protest.
The 60 years of fight is against the invasion of Tibet, implementation of a systematic policy to annihilate Tibetan religion, culture and language by the Chinese Government, the protesters said.
On this historic moment, the Tibetans call upon United Nations, Governments and organisations to raise their voice against the unjust and oppressive policies of Chinese regime, urged the protesters.
