Tibetans stage peaceful protest

Mysore/Mysuru: Hundreds of Tibetans participated in a peaceful protest organised by the Regional Tibetan Middle Way Youth Congress and Tibetan Women’s Association, Bylakuppe in the city this morning demanding the release of His Holiness the 11th Panchen Lama, who was allegedly abducted along with  his family members  and one of his Monastery Tashi Lhunpo Abbot Chadrel Rinpoche, by the Chinese authorities in the year 1995.

The protesters assembled near Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple and passed through Gandhi Square, K.R. Circle, Devaraj Urs road and reached Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office and submitted a memorandum to the Office of the DC. The protestors also demanded the intervention of Dalai Lama in this matter and sought his support.
