Tiger menace continues in South Kodagu

Two more cows killed on Thursday, Friday

Gonikoppa: Despite Forest Department staff placing cages in two places and also installing camera traps to trace the movement of the tiger, which is creating menace and to trap it, the elusive tiger is continuing its killing spree by killing two cows at Tochamakeri village on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, the tiger killed a cow belonging to Chindamada Vishu near the cowshed and on Friday, it killed another cow belonging to Puttangada Tammu Poovaiah inside the cowshed and dragged it outside before devouring a part of the cow.

The staff of Ponnampet Forest Department had placed two cages at Tochamakeri village to trap the elusive tiger but the tiger has not even ventured near the cages, instead it attacked and killed two cows which is proving to be a headache to the Forest Officials.
