Tiger swims across flooded Kapila River to reach Nagarahole Forest

Hunsur: A video of a tiger swimming across the flooded Kapila River to reach Nagarahole Reserve Forest has gone viral on social media yesterday.

Following heavy rains in Kerala, Kapila River water level had increased and was flowing in full spate. Meanwhile, Dammanakatte safari vehicle driver Pradeep saw an animal swimming across the swollen river between Bandipur and Nagarahole Forests and immediately recorded a video.

The video shows a tiger swimming across the flooded river for over a kilometre to reach the banks of Nagarahole Tiger Reserve successfully.

Safari goers, who too witnessed the tiger swimming, were awestruck and clicked photos and recorded videos of the tiger swimming on their mobile phones.
