Tipper lorry-bike collision: Brother-sister united in death

H.D.Kote: In a heart-rending incident, two siblings were united in death when the bike in which they were travelling collided with a lorry killing them on the spot.

Roopesh (22) and his elder sister Lakshmidevi (30) on pillion were killed on the spot when the Pulsar bike (ka 45 V 6002) collided head-on with a tipper Lorry near Jakkalli on Saraguru-H.D.Kote Road this morning.

They were on way to Mysuru at about 11 am, when the mishap took place.

On learning about the incident, a large number of people gathered at the spot.

Lakshmidevi was said to be a Pourakarmika attached to Saragur Panchayat.

H.D. Kote Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and shifted the bodies to H.D. Kote general hospital.]
