Mysuru: The Urdu Daily Pasban, on completion of 71 years of its publication, awarded writers, poets and journalists for their services towards language and literature at a function in Bengaluru recently.
Mushtaq Sayeed, Urdu writer, reporter and poet from Mysuru, who received the PASBAN AWARD for his poetry, was felicitated at the monthly Kavi Sammelan at Markaz al Hind, Sawday Road, by Tipu Trust Chairman Zahidulla Khan with a shawl, memento and turban.
Nyamathulla Khan presided. Syed Sajjad Ahmed, Syed Mukhtiar Noorie Ba Ba, Mubeen Taj and Asar Sayeed also spoke. Fuzail Akhter, Research scholor, compered. Among poets and writers S.A Rahil, Salma Zahra, Mushtaq Sayeed, Ayesha Chand, J. Asmath Pasha, Adil Pasha (Kannada poet) Rahmathulla, Aleem Sarkar and Syed Yunus participated. Zahidulla Khan proposed a vote of thanks.
