Nils Eigil Bradtberg hogged the limelight on the concluding day of the 10th edition of the Tour of Nilgiris TfN 2017 by winning a double crown clinching – the overall category title (1:25:34.95s) and Masters category (between 35-45 years) title, here yesterday.
Nils Eigil Bradtberg was given the King of Kalhatti for climbing the hill 1:08:32.94 sec, while Lena Mareike Josefine Robra was given the Queen of Kalhatti title for climbing it in 1:28:22.22 sec.
The Tour of Nilgiris (TfN), the annual tour of RideACycle Foundation, successfully concluded in Mysuru yesterday with cyclists pedaling 171 kms from Ooty through Pykara, Gudalur, Mudumalai, Bandipur, Gundlupet before reaching the city.
The grand tour with a contingent of 128 cyclists had pedaled 1000+ kms across Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, between Dec. 10 and Dec. 17.
Starting from Bengaluru the cyclists pedaled through Madikeri, Sultan Bathery, Udhagamandalam (Ooty), Kodanad, Kothagiri, Manjoor and finished at Mysuru.
The results: Overall Category: 1) Nils Eigil Bradtberg – 1:25:34.95 sec, 2) Naveen Thomas John – 1:25:55.38 sec, 3) Kiran Kumar Raju – 1:28:54.13.
Men’s Category (Under 35 years of age): 1) Naveen Thomas John – 1:25:55.38 sec, 2) Kiran Kumar Raju – 1:28:54.13 sec, 3) Shiven – 1:34:10.59 sec.
Masters Category (Between 35 and 45 years of age): 1) Nils Eigil Bradtberg – 1:25:34.95 sec, 2) Vivek Radhakrishnan – 1:37:43.07 sec, 3) N. Venkateswara Rao – 1:40:08.70 sec.
Veteran’s Category (over 45 years of age): 1) Alexi Singh Grewal – 1:39:29.82 sec, 2) Louwrens Van Der Steen – 1:50:27.61 sec, 3) Richard Mueller – 1:52:5 06 sec.
