The day-2 of the three-day Trade Licence renewal campaign launched by the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) at Dufferin Clock Tower yesterday, received 250 applications for Trade License renewal till 12 pm today.
The MCC had launched widespread campaign in business areas such as Shivarampet, Santhepet, Sayyaji Rao Road, Makkaji Chowk and other surrounding areas, to sensitise the traders on having Trade License.
Mayor M.J. Ravi Kumar, who launched the campaign yesterday, distributed the licenses to businesspersons coming under MCC Ward No. 6.
Speaking after launching the Trade License renewal campaign, the Mayor said that handbills on the campaign were distributed to commercial establishments on Vinoba Road, Sayyaji Rao Road and places around Old Bank Road and added that traders need not run from one place to another to get their Trade Licenses renewed and can get it done at one place during the three-day campaign.
Meanwhile, MCC Public Relation Officer (PRO) M.V. Sudha said that 84 traders got their Trade License renewed yesterday and Rs. 7 lakh has been collected as fees. She further said that those seeking fresh Trade License can collect the applications and licenses would be issued after spot inspection.The drive concludes on Mar.3.
