‘Train your mind to positive side’

Prof. Krishnegowda tells K-SET, UGC-NET candidates

Mysore/Mysuru: “Teachers are the vocal class who speak with credibility in the world. Train your mind in such a way that you think only about the positive aspect of everything you come across. Have an optimistic outlook,” said noted humorist and retired Kannada Professor M. Krishnegowda.

He was speaking at the valedictory of the 45-day free coaching classes for candidates appearing for K-SET, UGC-NET and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam organised by Jnanabuthi Institute at Government High School and PU College in Lakshmipuram recently.

“Many students struggle in deciding what to do after their graduation. We are living in the world with many opportunities. It is our responsibility to grab opportunities. Live every moment to improve your personality,” he said.

Stating that teachers must connect with students, Prof. Krishnegowda said that to be a better teacher one must be clear with their objectives and know the mindset of students.

“Hard work does not harm anybody. Be creative in your own way and never give up even after coming across any scams in the education sector,” he advised.

Senior KAS Officer and Department of Archaeology, Heritage and Museums Commissioner A. Devaraju, who spoke after releasing the study book material, said that the world is competitive. “Run along with the world. Work hard till you attain success and reach your goal.”

Wishing success to all the students, Devaraju said, “To be in track one must keep on taking exams. Competitive exams are exams of elimination to filter the best capable candidates. To encourage yourself, one must keep on taking exams and compete with the competitors,” he added and recalled his days when he was a student of Jnanabuthi Institute.

On the occasion, Prof. Krishnegowda felicitated Devaraj, who recently took charge as the Commissioner of Department of Archaeology, Heritage and Museums. Study book materials were distributed to over 45 students.

Dr. N.N. Prahallada and Prof. R.N. Padmanabha were the chief guests. Prof. V. Jayaprakash, Rohan Ravikumar, Institute General Secretary Jainahalli Satyanarayanagowda and others were present.
