Mysuru: Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) in association with Department of Factories and Boilers, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru Division, St.John’s Ambulance Association, Mysuru, have jointly organised a one-day 62nd training programme on first-aid for Industrial Workers and Supervisors on Feb. 13 (Wednesday). It will be held from 9 am to 5 pm at Hotel Shree Guru Residency, JLB Road Cross, Mysuru.
The need for first-aid is greater than ever because of the increased use of machines and electrical appliances in everyday work at home, at workplace etc.
A.R. Vijayendra, Director of Factories and Boilers (retired), Industrial Safety & Health, Government of Karnataka, will inaugurate the programme.
H.S. Narendra Babu, Deputy Director of Factories, Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety & Health, Mysuru Division, will preside.
The faculty for this programme will be Dr. B. Prakash, an experienced first-aid trainer from St.John’s Ambulance Association. It will be presented through lectures, discussions, case studies, interaction and demonstrations.
