Tree falls on Oct. 24; trunk, branches not cleared even after 27 days

November 20, 2025

The trunk and branches of a tree which fell outside Curzon Park near the north gate of Mysore Palace on Oct. 24 noon, which damaged two autorickshaws and caused minor injuries to the two auto drivers seated inside are still lying on the footpath, on which hundreds of pedestrians walk daily thus hampering their movement. Though the Mysuru City Corporation’s (MCC) Abhaya team and Devaraja Police rushed to the spot and cleared the tree fallen on the autos, the tree trunk and huge branches are still lying across the footpath even after 27 days of the tree fall. Public have urged the authorities concerned to get the tree trunk and branches cleared at the earliest.
