Trees continue to fall across city…

May 8, 2024

Though fallen trees and branches across the city due to heavy rains and gusty winds on Friday are yet to be cleared, trees and branches continue to fall in city. While a Gulmohar (May Flower) tree fell across the road near Canara Bank in VV Mohalla, huge branches of a Peepal Tree fell across Valmiki Road yesterday snapping power lines and bringing down many electric poles in the process. Meanwhile, public are cautioned not to stand under trees or tie cattle to trees during rains as trees are prone to attract lightning which may prove fatal to human beings and animals.
