Mysuru Hotel Owners Association instructs its members
Mysuru/Mysore: As a precautionary measure to prevent the transmission of Coronavirus, Mysuru Hotel Owners Association has instructed its members not to sell sweats and beverages, which are kept in cold storages such as refrigerators.
Hotel Owners Association Members include owners of star hotels, restaurants, hotels, fast food outlets and bakeries.
Varieties of sweets, in particular Bengali sweets and other milk products, are normally kept in cold conditions in these establishments.
The Association has issued this advisory to its members following District Administration taking drastic steps to control spread of Coronavirus in city.
As per the guidelines issued by the Association, cold drinks, fruit juices and other such beverages, which are kept in cold storages should not be sold to the customers.
The Association has also recommended usage of mineral water for preparing ‘pani’ for panipuri in fast food restaurants. The owners can keep the restaurants up and running, but they will have to turn off their Air Conditioners (ACs).
The State Government had recently asked the restaurants in the State to turn off ACs as it is believed that the virus might be able to spread through air conditioning systems.
Bakery owners are also advised not to use bare hands while kneading dough or mixing flour and maintain cleanliness at the premises.
The Association had convened a meeting here yesterday to discuss the necessary preventative measures.
Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda, Hotel Owners Association Charitable Trust President Ravi Shastri, Vice-President Suresh, Mysuru Hotel Owners Credit Co-operative Society Ltd. President Subramanya R. Tantri, Members Gopinath Gupta, Mahesh Kamath and others were present.
