Mysore/Mysuru: The Nanjangud Town Police, who arrested two persons for cattle theft, have recovered 2 Scorpio cars and Rs.30,000 cash from them.
Siddique Pasha and Sulaiman Pasha, residents of Kesare in Mysuru are the ones who have been arrested.
They have been accused of stealing 5 cows belonging to one Shivakumar, a resident of Vokkalageri in Nanjangud town, on Jan. 6.
The Police, who conducted investigation into the case, tracked down Siddique and Sulaiman and arrested them on Jan.22. Following the arrest of the two and based on their confession, the Police have cracked cattle theft cases earlier registered at different stations, including one in Pandavapura Police Station, 2 cases in Mysuru’s N.R. Police Station and 1 case each registered in Srirangapatna, K.R. Pet, Nanjangud town, H.D. Kote, T. Narasipur, Biligere and Bilikere Police Stations.
During interrogation, the two culprits also confessed that they sold the stolen cattle to the slaughter house in Usmania Block of Kesare, Mysuru, following which 2 cars used for theft and Rs. 30,000 cash were recovered from them.
