Two arrested for trying to sell tiger claws

Madikeri: The Madikeri CID Police of the Forest unit have arrested two while they were trying to sell tiger claws and have recovered four tiger claws from them.

The arrested are Kumar and Vinu of Gundlupet. The accused on May 6 were trying to sell the tiger claws near the bus stand, close to Madikeri-Mysuru National Highway Chain Gate during which the Police raided the spot and arrested them.

CID Police Forest Unit’s Additional IGP K.V. Sharathchandra and Madikeri CID Police Forest Unit In-charge Superintendent N.T. Srinivas Reddy guided Madikeri CID Police Forest Mobile Squad Sub-Inspector C.U. Savi and staff Shekar, Rajesh, Raghavendra, Yogesh, Mohan, Swamy and Manjunath in the nabbing and recovery operation.
