Three flee; bike, materials worth Rs. 2 lakh seized
Mysuru: Udayagiri Police, acting on a tip off, arrested two among five persons while they were trying to sell motors stolen from industries on Monday. The Police recovered a motorbike and motors worth Rs. 2 lakh from the accused.
The arrested persons have been identified as Abdul Aleem and Syed Saud, residents of Ghousianagar here.
The accused had stolen motors from industries at Kadakola Industrial Area and were selling the same as spare parts.
The Police, who received a tip off on Monday that five persons were selling stolen motor spare parts near Ghousianagar Burial Grounds, raided the place and arrested two persons while three other fled the spot.
They also seized six motors of various companies, copper coils, bearings, motor covers and other materials.
A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station. Udayagiri Inspector Santosh, SI Raju, Jayarathna and staff Lokanath Babu, Venkateshgowda, Manju, Krishna, Shashikala, Mamatha and others took part in the raiding and nabbing operation.
