Two bike-lifters arrested

Five two-wheelers, one car worth Rs. 3.35 lakh recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: Alanahalli Police have arrested two persons on charges of lifting vehicles in city and have recovered five two-wheelers and a Maruti 800 car, all worth Rs. 3.35 lakh, from them.

The arrested are 32-year-old Mohammed Imran of Bharatnagar on Mahadevapura Road and 24-year-old Saddam Hussain of Beedi Colony, near Shalu Bakery in city.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have told the Police that they together had stolen two Bajaj Pulsar bikes in Alanahalli Police limits. Accused Mohammed Imran is also said to have told the Police that he had stolen a Maruti 800 car in Alanahalli Police limits and one two-wheeler each in Mysuru South and Udayagiri Police limits in city and one two-wheeler in Upparpet Police limits                                in Bengaluru.

Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered five two-wheelers and a Maruti 800 car from them.

DCP M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar supervised Alanahalli Inspector R. Jagadish, Sub-Inspectors P. Manjunath and T.S. Mahendra, ASI M.S. Lakshminarayana and staff Shivaprasad, B.K. Chowdappa, T. Satish, P. Ravikumar, S.G. Manik, L. Ganesh and B.H. Ranganath in the nabbing and recovery operation.
