Mysuru: Two bike riders and a pedestrian were killed in separate road accidents in city.
In the first case, a two-wheeler rider was killed when another bike collided with his bike near KSRTC Bus Depot on Hinkal Ring Road on Saturday. The deceased is Ooty Pattan (63), a resident of Kuduremala in Manasanagar.
On Saturday at about 5.45 pm, Pattan was proceeding on his bike (KA-09-HR-6024) from KSRTC Bus Depot towards Hinkal when another bike (KA-45-EE-7207), which came from Basavanahalli Junction, rammed into Pattan’s bike resulting in Pattan falling on the road and sustaining seriously injured.
Though he was being rushed to a private hospital, he is said to have breathed his last midway.
Other bike rider, identified as Showrya has also sustained injuries and is accused of riding the bike in a rash and negligent manner which resulted in the accident.
Based on the complaint from Pattan’s wife, VV Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
In the second case, a two-wheeler rider was killed when another bike hit the bike he was riding near Yaraganahalli Circle on July 27.
The deceased has been identified as Shivanna (81), a resident of Vajamangala on Bannur Road.
At about 1.30 pm, Shivanna, who came on his bike (KA-06-L-3080) from Yaraganahalli side, took a right turn at Yaraganahalli Circle to go towards the new DC’s Office, when another bike (KA-09-ES-4097), which came from the new DC’s Office side, rammed into Shivanna’s bike resulting in him sustaining serious injuries. Shivanna was rushed to K.R. Hospital, where the doctors, who examined him, declared him dead.
Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case.
In the third case, Keshab Chatri (44), a native of Assam, who is residing in Mysuru since 2022, was killed when a bike (KL-58-AJ-6966) hit him while he was crossing the Ring Road near Sai Garments in Metagalli at about 8 pm on July 26.
Keshab, who was unconscious, was being rushed to K.R. Hospital, but he breathed his last midway, doctors who examined said.
The other bike rider, identified as Sankeerth, has also sustained injuries in the accident.
Based on the complaint from deceased Keshab’s brother, VV Puram Traffic Police have registered a case against Sankeerth.
