Two-day International Conference on ‘Artificial Intelligence’ at NIE on Dec. 22 and 23

Mysore/Mysuru: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, will be conducting a two-day International Conference on ‘Artificial Intelligence:  Towards Smart Sustainable Society’ at its premises in city on Dec. 22 and 23.

Addressing media persons here on Monday, Dr. V.K. Annapurna, Conference Co-Chair and Coordinator, Professor, CSE, NIE said “The International Meet is conceived as a strategic event to bring together researchers, practitioners, industry experts and enthusiasts to share and discuss the latest developments in the field of AI. It covers a broad range of topics including machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, Generative AI, Nano computation, DNA Computations, In-memory com-puting, Neuromorphic, Embedded Computing, surveillance, Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) Predictive Maintenance, Control Systems, Manufacturing, Materials Science and more with a focus on interdisciplinary scope and applications of AI’.

Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, Principal, NIE, said “To motivate and encourage researchers on current trends, 3 Best Paper Awards will be presented.”

 Dr. R. Anitha, Head, Depart-ment of CSE, NIE  and Dr. B.S. Jayasri, Chair of Publicity Committee and Professor in CSE, were present at the press meet. 

Dr. Prathosh Kumar from IISc., Bangalore, will inaugurate the conference on Dec.22 at 9.30 am and deliver keynote address on Artificial Intelligence.

 Dr. Rodulf Talens, Data Scientist, Infosys Limited, Amsterdam and Dr. H.N. Meenakshi, Senior Principal Consultant-Learning, Data Science and Machine Learning, Infosys, will also talk. In all, 142 papers have been received and selected papers will be presented.
