Two-day National Seminar on ‘Academic and Administrative Audits’ held

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara (JSS) University had organised a NAAC sponsored two-day National Seminar on ‘Academic and Administrative Audits’ in city recently.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. S. Chandrashekar Shetty, Chairman, Advisory Committee of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Public Health and Centre for Disease Control and former Vice- Chancellor of RGUHS and Sri Devaraj Urs, University, Kolar.

In his keynote address, he emphasised on quality enhancement in higher education and highlighted on the process of academic and administrative audits towards achieving self reliance and excellence in higher education.

Dr. B. Suresh, Vice-Chancellor of Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University, in his presidential remarks, highlighted the accreditation process in higher education and the auditing process in the higher educational institutions, which would lead to self-reliant institutes of excellence.

Present on the occasion were Dr. P. A. Kushalappa, Director (Academic), JSS University; Dr. H. Basavanagowdappa, Principal and Dean, faculty of Medical Sciences; Dr. G. Parthasarthy, Principal and Dean, faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. Prashanth Vishwanath, Internal Quality Assurance Cell Co-ordinator, Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University, Mysuru.

The two-day deliberations involved eminent speakers from higher education institutes across the country.

Hegde, former Vice-Chancellor, Mysore University. Dr. B. Ilango Balakrishnan, Chairman, EQIP Foundation, Coimbatore, Dr. K.P. Arun, IQAC Coordinator, JSSCPO, Ooty, Dr. D.Sunil Kumar, IQAC Coordinator, JSS Medical College, Mysuru were present.
