Mysuru: A two-day seminar on e-Kannada organised by Kannada Development Authority (KDA) and Department this morning at the premises of Administrative Training Institute here.
About 30 Kannada software experts from across the State are participating in the seminar where resource persons would speak on various topics pertaining to Kannada software.
Inaugurating the programme writer T.V. Venkatachala Shastry observed that people today tend to mix English words while speaking in Kannada which dilutes the essence of Kannada. He suggested people to practice speaking in pure Kannada. He pointed out that dictionaries are not being referred now which is bad. He said that documentation in Kannada should be total as it would be useful for the future generation.
Presiding over the programme KDA Chairman T.S. Nagabharana opined that Kannada language need a lot of technology input which would strengthen e-Goverance. ATI Joint Director V. Bhagyalakshmi, Chief Minister’s E-Governance Advisor Belur Sudarshan and others were present.
