Srirangapatna: Two persons from Mysuru, who were sipping tea at the canteen near the Court, sustained injuries when a man allegedly stabbed with a screw driver on Monday.
While the accused has been identified as 40-year-old Nanjappa, a resident of Sasalu village in K.R. Pet taluk, the injured are Kumaraswamy of Mysuru and B.R. Umesh of Nanjangud in Mysuru district. The injured have been admitted to a private hospital in Mysuru.
According to the complaint lodged by Yatish, a resident of N.R. Mohalla in Mysuru, he and his family members had come to the Court for a case and after completing the Court works, he (Yatish), his relative Kumaraswamy and his friend Umesh went to the canteen near the Court and were sipping tea, when Nanjappa began to stab them continuously with a screw driver over an old grudge, resulting in Kumaraswamy and Umesh sustaining multiple wounds.
The complaint further states that while Nanjappa was on a stabbing spree, Nanjappa’s father-in-law Rajendra, mother-in-law Manjula and his wife Parvathi began to abuse them using foul language besides issuing life threats.
Yatish has urged the Police to initiate legal action against the accused.
The Police, who have arrested the accused, visited the crime spot yesterday morning and conducted spot mahazar.
