Two girls among four arrested for consuming, storing drugs

12.80 grams MDMA worth Rs. 1.30 lakh seized

Mysore/Mysuru: Continuing their drive to make Mysuru a drug-free city, the Organised Crime Wing (OCW) and City Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths, who conducted ‘Vimukthi’ campaign, raided a house near Chandramouleshwara Temple at Siddalingapura village, arrested four persons including two girls on charges of consuming and storing drugs.

A total of 12.80 grams of the banned narcotic substance MDMA worth about Rs. 1,30,000, digital weighing scale and bus tickets have been seized from those who were arrested. A case has been registered at the jurisdictional Metagalli Police Station in this regard.

Those arrested are Mujeeb Ur Rehaman, M. Preethi, Latha and Raghavendra.

CCB Asst. Commissioner of Police (ACP) Mohammed Shariff Rawther guided CCB Inspector Shabir Hussain, Sub-Inspectors K. Lepaksha and Revanasiddappa and staff Madhukumar, Chethan, Yashwanth Kumar, Kiran Rathod, Santosh Pawar, Devaraja, Rajesab, Hazarath Ali Naikar and Siddaraju in the nabbing and seizing operation.
