Water pumps, fans, paint cans, autorickshaw seized
Mysuru: On a tip off, the City Crime Branch (CCB) Police on July 22 have arrested two burglars who were trying to sell the stolen items at a scrap yard (Gujari) on T. Narasipur Road in Alanahalli Police limits and have recovered the stolen materials besides seizing an autorickshaw used for the crime.
The accused are 21-year-old Ziaulla of Shanthinagar and 23-year-old Syed Azaruddin of Ghousianagar in city.
During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of burgling shops at various places in the district by forcibly opening the rolling shutters.
The Police have recovered six water pumps, three ceiling fans and four paint cans which they had brought in an autorickshaw to sell them besides seizing the autorickshaw used for the crime.
DCPs M. Muthuraj and B.T. Kavitha and CCB ACP B.R. Lingappa supervised CCB Inspector C. Kiran Kumar, ASI Chandregowda and staff Asgar Khan, Lakshmikanth, Yakub Shariff, Ramaswamy, Chikkanna, M.R. Ganesh, Shivaraju, Rajendra, Chandrashekar, Niranjan, Chamundamma, Gautham and Shivakumar in the nabbing and seizing operation, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
