Two house burglars arrested in Mysuru

Gold ornaments, silver articles worth about Rs.2.32 lakh recovered

Mysuru:  Mandi Police, acting on a tip off, have arrested two persons on charges of committing house burglaries in Mandi and Lashkar Police limits and have recovered gold ornaments and silver articles from them.

The burglars, who were arrested on Jan.17, are 32-year-old Imran Khan of Valmiki Nagar, Bengaluru and 24-year-old Khadir Ahmed of Nayandahalli in Bengaluru.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of committing house burglaries in Mandi and Lashkar Police limits and based on the information provided by them, the Police have recovered 85 grams gold ornaments and 560 grams silver articles worth about Rs.2,32,400 from them. Following their arrest, the Police have solved one case each in Mandi and Lashkar Police limits.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe and NR Sub-Division ACP Gopal supervised Mandi Inspector L. Arun, ASI Guruswamy and staff S. Jayakumar, Jayapal, Eliyas and Ravi Gowda Shankar T. Bandivaddar in the nabbing and recovery operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s Office Mysuru.
