Two injured as SUV topples on Outer Ring Road

Mysore/Mysuru: Two youths sustained injuries when the Maruti Brezza SUV, in which they were travelling, hit the road median and toppled many times on the Outer Ring Road here yesterday morning.

The injured youths are 24-year-old Preetham, a resident of Ramakrishnanagar, who was driving the SUV and 20-year-old Gautham, a resident of Panchamantra Road in Kuvempunagar.

The two were proceeding on the Ring Road in the Maruti Brezza SUV (KA-09-MC-4969) from Bogadi side towards Dattagalli, when Preetham, who was behind the wheels of the SUV lost control of the vehicle which hit the road median between KEB Junction and Sa Ra Convention Hall. The SUV toppled four to five times on the road before coming to a halt.

Passersby and Police personnel, who rushed to the help, rescued the profusely bleeding two youths and shifted them to a nearby private hospital, where they are said to be out of danger.

KR Traffic Police, who have registered a case, have seized the SUV.
