Two killed in separate road accidents

Mysore/Mysuru: Two persons have been killed in separate road accidents in city.

In the first case, Manjula (41), wife of Raja Shetty and a resident of Hootagalli was killed on the spot, when a truck hit her scooter and ran over her near Basava Marga building on Hebbal Ring Road on Tuesday evening.

Manjula, who works at a garments manufacturing factory at Metagalli Industrial Area, was proceeding to her home after finishing her work, when the truck hit her scooter from behind and ran over her at about 6.15 pm, killing her on the spot. V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.

In the second case, M. Revoji Rao (57), a resident of Kempananjamma Agrahara, was killed, when an auto hit his scooter near New Kantharaj Urs Road-JLB Road Junction on Feb. 4 night. Revoji Rao was proceeding on his scooter from Sarada Vilas College side towards Agrahara, when the auto, hit the scooter, injuring him seriously at about 9.30 pm. Though he was admitted to a private hospital in city, he succumbed to injuries yesterday at about 8.15 am.

K.R. Traffic Police have registered a case.
