Two nabbed for stealing batteries from pathology lab

Mysore/Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police, on Aug. 14, have arrested two persons who had stolen eight batteries installed to a UPS at a diagnostic centre pathology lab on Shivaji Road in N.R. Mohalla on Aug. 11 and have recovered the stolen items from them.

The accused, identified as 31-year-old Fayaz Pasha of Usmania Block in Kesare and 32-year-old Jameelulla of Haleemnagar in Bannimantap, were arrested on C.V. Road, when they were trying to sell the stolen items. The Police have recovered eight batteries worth Rs. 1,20,000 from them.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have confessed of lifting a two-wheeler in N.R. Police limits and stealing vessels worth Rs. 5,000 from the Government Urdu School. Based on their information, the Police have recovered the stolen vehicle and vessels.

Two others, who are accused of involving in the above crime, are absconding and the Cops have launched a hunt to nab them.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and NR Sub-Division ACP Shivashankar guided NR Inspector Azaruddin, SI Jaikeerthi, ASI Papanna and staff Manjunath, R.R. Ramesh, Sunil Kumar, Mahesh, Eeresh and Doddegowda, in the nabbing and recovery operation.
