Two persons arrested for stealing friend’s bike

Mysuru: Devaraja Police have arrested Naveen, 23 and Mohan, 22 of Manchegowdana Koppal here, for having allegedly stolen a bike of their friend Mohan of Alanahalli. 

Alanahalli Mohan had recently purchased a new Bajaj Pulsar bike. The accused duo, who happened to be good friends of Mohan, sought the new bike for a trial ride and allegedly got a duplicate key made for the bike. 

The duo invited Mohan to watch a movie on Dec.12, got his bike parked on the road in front of Jaganmohan Palace here and the three went to a theatre nearby to watch the movie.

After reaching the theatre, Naveen was said to have telephoned another friend Mounesh and asked the latter to lift the Pulsar bike after giving the details of where it was parked. After coming out of the theatre, Alanahalli Mohan noticed that his bike had been stolen and registered a complaint with Devaraja Police.

During interrogation, the accused duo confessed to the crime. The vehicle has been recovered and the accused remanded to judicial custody, according to Devaraja Police Inspector Prasanna Kumar.
