Mysuru: In separate incidents, two persons have committed suicide in city.
In the first incident, a contract Pourakarmika committed suicide by hanging self in his house at Ashokapuram here on Aug. 15 night. The deceased has been identified as Siddaraju (48), a resident of Nellur Shed in Ashokapuram.
Ashokapuram Police, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and have registered a case.
Police have suspected that Siddaraju may have taken the extreme step as he was unable to repay the loans he had taken.
In the second incident, a man who is said to be depressed in life committed suicide by hanging self yesterday morning.
The deceased is Eranna (62), a resident of Devaiahanahundi in the taluk, who was running a petty shop. Police have suspected that Eranna, unable to overcome the loss in business, may have taken the extreme step. Kuvempunagar Inspector Vijaykumar, who has registered a case in this regard, is investigating.
