Two students from H.D. Kote selected for National-level Kalotsava

Mysuru: Two students from G.B. Sargur of H.D. Kote taluk have been selected for National-level Kalotsava organised by Central Government to be held in New Delhi from Jan. 15.

G. Aishwarya, a tenth standard student and A. Chandana, a ninth standard student, will be participating in the event in 3D contest and native toys categories respectively.

Aishwarya has crafted a clay idol of Goddess Chamundeshwari Devi riding a tiger while Chandana has created an art work on a bottle gourd.

K. Sangeeta, Art teacher working for G.B. Sargur Government High School, said, “Since 2015, Ministry of School Education has been organising National level Kalotsava in New Delhi. Every year, State Government is selecting 18 students for the event. We are very proud to say that two students of our school have been selected for this national level art festival. A total of ten school kids from the State will be participating in the event.”
