Two vehicles donated for COVID Care Centre

Mysore/Mysuru: With the deadly Coronavirus causing widespread havoc across the country, K.R. Nagar JD(S) MLA S.R. Mahesh has donated an Ambulance and a Hearse for COVID Care Centre at K.R. Nagar.

Addressing a press meet at his Office near Ramavilas Road here yesterday morning, S.R. Mahesh lashed out at District Minister S.T. Somashekar and Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri for failure to check the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic in the second wave of   virus attack.

Maintaining that the two had failed in taking early measures such as appointment of doctors and other medical staff to stem the spread of the virus, Mahesh blamed the failure of the  district administration for the rising number of COVID deaths   in the district.

Announcing that he has donated two vehicles — an Ambulance, costing Rs. 14 lakh  and a Hearse vehicle, to COVID Care Centre at K.R. Nagar under the aegis of Sa.Ra. Sneha Balaga, Mahesh said that he has appointed three doctors to take care of  the centre at a monthly salary of Rs. 1 lakh each out of his own.

He further said that he will soon make arrangements for setting up an additional 200-bed facility at K.R. Nagar at a building  in the Town.

Former Deputy Mayor Shailendra, former Corporator K.V. Mallesh and others were present at the press meet.
