Two-wheeler lifters arrested: Nine vehicles worth Rs. 3.10 lakh recovered

Mysore/Mysuru: Mandi Police on Dec. 8 have arrested two persons on charges of lifting two-wheelers in city, Varuna and at Srirangapatna and have recovered nine two-wheelers worth Rs. 3.10 lakh from them.

The accused are 22-year-old Wasim Pasha of Kalyangirinagar and 20-year-old Sandeep of Rajivnagar in city.

During interrogation, accused Wasim is said to have confessed of lifting four two-wheelers in Varuna Police limits, while another accused Sandeep has revealed of lifting one Honda Dio scooter each at Srirangapatna town, Jayalakshmipuram, Kuvempunagar and Udayagiri Police limits. Based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered nine two-wheelers worth Rs. 3.10 lakh from them.

DCP M.S. Geetha Prasanna and NR Sub-Division ACP M. Shivashankar supervised Mandi Inspector V. Narayanaswamy, Sub-Inspector V.R. Shabareesh, ASI K.S. Guruswamy and staff Jayapal, M. Eliyas, Jayakumar, Ravigowda, Shankar T. Bandivaddar and Kariyappa in the nabbing and recovery operation.
