Two-wheeler lifters arrested: Two bikes worth Rs.2 lakh recovered

Mysuru: V.V. Puram Police, on July 20 have arrested three persons who were attempting to sell two stolen bikes at a throw-away price near Highway Circle and have recovered two bikes worth about Rs. 2 lakh  from them.

The arrested are 19-year-old Mohammed Peer Jaan of Meena Bazaar, 19-year-old Kaiser Pasha of Aleemnagar and 20-year-old Saleem of Bannimantap.

During interrogation, the accused are said to have informed the Police of lifting bikes in Saraswathipuram and Vijayanagar Police limits and based on the information provided by the accused, the Police have recovered one KTM and one Yamaha RX 100 bike worth about Rs. 2 lakh from them.

DCPs B.T. Kavitha and M. Muthuraj supervised N.R. Sub-Division ACP C. Gopal, V.V. Puram Inspector H.N. Vinay and staff Somashekar, Prasanna, Eeranna, Diwakar and Suresh in the nabbing and recovery operation.
