Charvi, Shriyana emerge champions

Mysore/Mysuru: National U-10 Champion A. Charvi from Bengaluru won the open title with 8 points from nine rounds, while Shriyana S. Mallya with 8.5 points from nine rounds won the title in the girls section in the Under-15 Rapid Rating Karnataka School Open & Girls Chess Championship 2022, conducted by Karnataka State Chess Association, at Dasaprakash Paradise in city on June 15 and 16.

The prizes to the winners were given away by Vikram Das, MD, Dasaprakash Paradise, Yadavagiri, C.K. Muralidharan, Patron, Mysore District Chess Association (MDCA), Madhuri, Promoter, Mandya Chess Academy, Mandya and N.M. Biddappa, Vice-President, MDCA.
