UGC members hold Advisory Committee Meet at Tumkur University

Mysuru: UGC members Dr. N. N. Prahallada, former Associate Professor in Education, RIE (NCERT) Mysuru and Dr. Vimal Rarh, Head, Department of Chemistry, SGTB Khalsa College, New Delhi, visited University College of Science, Tumkur University recently and conducted the first meeting of the Advisory Committee.

The meeting was attended by Dr. H. Y. Eshwara, Principal, University College of Science, Tumkur University and Chairman of the Advisory Committee of Colleges with Potential for Excellence (CPE) and Dr. D. Suresh, Coordinator and Member Secretary Advisory Committee of CPE.

The UGC members went through the details of the funds allocated, received, utilised so far from UGC and examined the balance amount left related to Recurring and Non-Recurring budget heads. The UGC has sanctioned Rs. 140 lakh for Tumkur University for improving the quality of Education under CPE.

The UGC members also invited CPE Planning Board members, held discussions and suggested certain activities for the benefit of both UG and PG students  and faculty.
