I would like to draw attention to a serious issue near the Kuvempunagar bus stand, where a damaged underground cable cover (similar to a cable junction box) dangerously protruding and lying in the middle of the road.

This fragile cover, prone to frequent breakage, has been posing a hazard to daily commuters. This problem has persisted for 4-5 years and instead of resolving the issue, the authorities have only placed a barricade on top of the cable, leaving it unattended.

This negligence has caused significant inconvenience for vehicles and pedestrians, disrupting the flow of traffic and creating a risk of accidents. While commuters have become accustomed to this daily ordeal, it is unacceptable that such a crucial safety issue remains ignored for so long.

I urge the authorities concerned to address this matter immediately by replacing the cable cover with a sturdy and permanent solution. It is time to prioritise the safety of the tax-paying public and ensure the smooth movement of traffic in this busy area.
