Union Information Ministry Director Dr. H.R. Keshavamurthy passes away

Mysuru: Dr. H.R. Keshavamurthy (59), who was serving as a Director at the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, passed away here on Wednesday following brief illness.

An Indian Information Service Officer of the 1995 batch, Keshavamurthy leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. He was a resident of SBM Layout in Mysuru.

He had also served in the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Urban Development, Agriculture and Telecommunications and in Arunachal Pradesh for several years.

His last rites were performed at Gokulam Chirashantidhama on Wednesday evening, according to family sources.
