Union Minister inaugurates 37th Jan Aushadhi Kendra in city

Mysuru:  Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Mansukh L. Mandaviya, on Mar. 16, inaugurated the 37th Jan Aushadhi Kendra in the city at the University Layout.

Later interacting with the gathering, Mandaviya said this was also the 3,301st Jan Aushadhi Kendra in the country, 279th in the State and 58th in the district. Pointing out that another 200 varieties of medicines will be added to the centres to the existing 800, he said that the citizens can place orders online too.

Noting that the authorities have developed software for the purpose, which will be launched in a month, he said that the availability of medicines at a particular shop will be uploaded on a public domain shortly.

Lauding former Minister and BJP leader S.A. Ramdas for his efforts in setting up Jan Aushadhi Kendras, the Minister said the Kendras were aimed at providing quality medicines at affordable prices to the people.

Citizens urged the Minister to provide more medicines related to Urology, Neurology and other combination drugs.

Mandaviya was felicitated on the occasion. MLC Sunil Subramani, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) Senior Marketing Manager Parashuram Kenchareddy, District BJP President Kote M. Shivanna and others were present.
