Union Minister launches Swachh Bharat campaign in Gandhinagar

Mysuru: Union Minister Ramesh Jigajinagi, who had come to city to participate in the BJP Executive Committee meeting, launched Swachh Bharat campaign in Gandhinagar here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the cleanliness campaign should reach nook and corner of the country which would also contribute to development of country.

He opined that if every household maintain cleanliness, the whole town would remain clean and that propogates throughout the country. He added that  4 crore personal toilets have been constructed in the country and 2 lakh districts have been declared open-defecation-free.

Former Minister S.A. Ramdas, BJP Rural President Shivanna, Corporator B.M. Nataraj and others were present during the launch of the campaign.
