After sticking roses, Congress women draw ‘Rangolis’
Mysuru/Mysore: On the second day of its State-wide demonstration against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Register of Citizens (NRC) and rising crimes against women, the Women’s wing of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) staged a unique ‘Rangoli’ protest in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at the Palace North Gate here this morning.
More than 30 women took part in the protest-cum-contest, in which they were asked to draw captions such as ‘No CAA’, ‘No NRC’ etc., in ‘Rangoli’ to draw the Centre’s attention.
KPCC Women’s Wing State President Dr. Pushpa Amarnath, Vice-President Pushpavalli, former Mayors Pushpalatha Chikkanna and Modamani, leaders Latha Mohan, Latha Siddashetty and others were present.

On the first day of their demonstration yesterday, women Congress leaders of the city paid visit to the Office of Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha at Jaladarshini Guest House premises on Hunsur Road and stuck a bunch of white roses on the closed door of the MP’s Office as the MP was away on a tour.
