Unsafe KSRTC city buses

Sir,

KSRTC, I am afraid, is not bothered about the safety of its passengers. The buses are not equipped with the necessary safety fixtures.

Thus, passengers are exposed to unsafe conditions. I shall cite a specific case here.

Recently, I noticed a city bus (KA09-F5291) near Ramaswamy Circle stop. The window, on its right side’s last row, was not fixed with guard rails — an essential safety fixture.  It prevents, at least, two types of accidents to the occupant of the window-seat.

Firstly, it prevents the person peeping out of the window and get hurt by a passing vehicle, in either direction.

Secondly, the person, if dozing, will be minimally get hurt by a jerk, if any.

I did see the occupant leaning towards the window, while dozing.  But, I could not caution the potential victim.  For, within no time, the bus disappeared. May God save the young lady, for many more years. But, He cannot mend KSRTC!
